Calling Features
Caller ID
Caller ID solves the mystery of who's calling. You can see
who's calling before you answer the phone. Caller ID
displays the calling number (and name where available) on a
special display unit attached to your phone. You can avoid
interruptions, answer an important call or ignore unwanted
calls. You are in control of the calls you want to answer.

Caller ID Blocking
Caller ID Blocking allows you to prevent your phone number
from being made available to the party you are calling for the
duration of one call. To do this you dial a special code
prior to making the call. To use press *67 and dial the
number you're calling as usual. If you have requested
Per-Line Blocking, you do not need to dial a code to block your
number each time. Your number will always appear as
"Private." To override Per-Line Blocking (allowing
your number to be displayed) on an individual call, dial *82
before placing the call.

Call Waiting
Call Waiting informs you with a burst of tone during a phone
conversation that another call is waiting to be answered.
You can answer the call either by depressing the switchhook or by
hanging up and being rung back.
- Callers will rarely get a
busy signal
- Provides many of the advantages of an
additional line at a fraction of the cost.
- Important calls will not be missed
- Relieves household tension associated with high telephone
use
Cancel Call Waiting
Cancel Call Waiting allows you to disable Call Waiting for the
duration of one call. Dial *70, wait for a beep, then dial
the desired telephone number. A caller will get a busy
signal or be transferred to your voice mail.
Call Forwarding
Call Forwarding allows you to dial a special code to have your
calls redirected from your phone number to another phone.
Press 72#, then listen for three beeps and a study dial
tone. Dial the telephone number to which calls will be
forwarded. Press # and wait for ringing and answer.

- Forward calls to a relative and no one will know when your
house is empty
Call Forwarding Busy Line
Call Forwarding Busy Line allows you to dial a special code to
have calls redirected from your phone number to another phone
number when someone tries to call you and your line is busy.
To "turn on" this service press *90, wait for steady
tone and dial the number where you want your calls
forwarded. Press *91 to "turn off" this service.
Call Forwarding Don't
Answer
Call Forwarding Don't Answer redirects your calls to another
phone number if you do not answer your phone within a
pre-specified number of rings. The number of rings is
determined by you and set by your telephone company. To
"turn on" this service press *92, wait for a steady
tone, then dial the number where you want your calls
forwarded. Press *93 to "turn off" this service.
Three-Way Calling
Three-Way Calling allows you to add a third party to an
existing phone conversation. You can do this by flashing the
switchhook to place the original call on hold, dialing the third
party, and flashing the switchhook again to create a three-way
call.

Speed Calling
Speed Calling allows you to call selected phone numbers by
dialing a one or two digit code. There are two types of
Speed Calling: One-Digit (8-Code) Speed Calling allows you to
create a list of up to eight frequently dialed numbers which you
can call by dialing a one-digit code. The one-digit code can
be any number from 2 through 9. Two-Digit (30-Code) Speed
Calling allows you to create a list of up to thirty frequently
dialed numbers which you can call by dialing a two-digit
code. The
two-digit code can be any number form 20 through
49. Press 74# for 1-Digit Speed Calling or 75# for 2-Digit
Speed Calling. Listen for three beeps and a study
tone. Enter Speed Calling code (2-9 or 20-49). Enter
desired telephone number, press #, then listen for three
beeps. To use Speed Calling press the desired Speed Calling
code then press #.
- Eliminates the need to remember phone numbers
- Saves time when dialing numbers, especially long distance
numbers
- Ensures fast, accurate dialing of emergency numbers,
especially by children
Do Not Disturb
Do Not Disturb allows you to prevent calls from ringing at
your phone by diverting them to a tone or recorded announcement. You may give selected callers a Personal
Identification Number (PIN) that will allow them to override Do
Not Disturb in order to reach you. To activate Do Not
Disturb press *78. To cancel Do Not Disturb press *79.
To set or change your PIN press #87, (or *10), then listen for
three beeps and a study tone. Enter PIN (4 digits) and press
#.
- Allows you to relax without being interrupted by the
telephone
- You can still receive important calls if you give special
people your PIN code
Repeat Dialing
Repeat Dialing allows you to dial an access code to have you
phone continuously attempt to redial a busy number that you tried
to call. When the line is free, you will be alerted with a
special ring, and a call will automatically be made. You can
also use Repeat Dialing to redial the last number you
called. To use Repeat Dialing press *66. To cancel
Repeat Dialing press *86.

Personal Ringing
Personal Ringing allows your phone line to have up to three
phone numbers, each having its own unique ringing pattern.
You can determine for whom a call is intended by the sound of the
ringing pattern. If you also have Call Waiting, each phone
number will have a unique Call Waiting tone.
- Determine whether a call is intended for a parent or child
- Determine whether it is a business or personal call
Warm Line
Warm Line allows a predetermined phone number to be
automatically dialed if you take your phone off the hook and do
not dial any digits within a certain period of time. Homes
with small children or handicapped persons can use Warm Line to
connect them quickly and automatically to an emergency number or
relative in a crisis situation.

Call Return
Call Return allows you to dial a code and have a call
automatically returned to the last party who called or attempted
to call you. Press *69 and listen to the announcement that
will tell you the phone number of the party who last called
you. To return the call press 1. To cancel Call Return
press *89.

- Makes it easy to return calls quickly
Call Trace
Call Trace allows you to automatically initiate a trace of the
last incoming obscene, threatening or harassing call. After
receiving such a call, you simply dial a special code to have the
calling party's phone number printed at the telephone
company. Press *57 and listen for tone or
announcement. After requesting a Call Trace, you should call
RTI at: 541-369-2211 if you want the call to be investigated
further. Please call before the end of the next business
day. Information will only be released to law enforcement
agencies.

Priority Ringing
Priority Ringing allows you to program your telephone line to
ring with a special ringing pattern whenever you are called by a
select list of phone numbers. Your phone will ring with a
normal ringing pattern for all other calling numbers. If you
also have Call Waiting, you will hear a distinctive Call Waiting
tone whenever someone on your list calls you while you are on the
phone. To use Priority Ringing press *61 and follow the
voice instructions which will guide you through the steps to turn
Priority Ringing on or off.

Call Screening
Call Screening allows you to create a list of specific phone
numbers from which you do not wish to receive calls. Calls
from phone numbers on your list are intercepted and sent to an
announcement that informs the caller that you are not receiving
calls at that time. After receiving an offending call you
can dial a special code to add the caller's number to your Call
Screening List, even if you do not know the calling party's phone
number. To use Call Screening press *60 follow the voice
instructions.
- Allows you to block calls from people with whom you do not
wish to speak
Code Restriction
Code Restriction prevents calls to 900 and 976 numbers and can save
money by restricting access to local calls. You can also
block calls to international numbers.
Voice Mail
Voice Mail allows your calls to be redirected to a voice mail
system when you are away from home, are unable to answer the
phone, or when the line is busy. It provides a message
waiting indication (stutter dial tone) as a reminder that you have
voice messages waiting to be retrieved. You can dial into
the voice mail system using an ordinary tone dial telephone
to retrieve or redirect your messages.
- Ensures that calls will always be answered
- Voice messages can be retrieved from anywhere using a tone
dial phone
- Provides the same benefits as an expensive digital
answering machine
Wake-Up Service
Wake-Up Service allows you to program your telephone to make a
call to you at a predetermined time and make an appropriate
announcement that this is your wake-up/reminder call.
- Can be used as a backup to an alarm clock
- Will remind you of scheduled appointments
Call Transfer
Call Transfer allows you to transfer an established call to
another person. Calls may be transferred to other parties
both inside and outside your home or business. You may
transfer a call by flashing the switchhook and dialing the number
to which the call is to be transferred. When you hang up,
the call will be transferred.
